Sustainability
Sustainability is embedded throughout our business, from the energy we use and materials we source to the suppliers we work with.
OUR WAREHOUSE
We are based at Kempsey Eco Business Park, a development designed with sustainability at its core. The site benefits from renewable energy generation, biomass heating, EV charging facilities and an A+ energy efficiency rating.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
We focus on reducing emissions before considering offsets. In practice, this means:
-
reusing packaging wherever possible
-
prioritising recycled packaging materials
-
using FSC® and PEFC-certified products
-
operating electric forklifts
-
supporting sustainable travel for our team
-
minimising transport emissions through efficient logistics planning
SUPPLIERS
Wherever possible, we work with UK suppliers and consider environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards throughout our supply chain.
We also help our clients make more sustainable choices by offering recycled, recyclable and responsibly sourced merchandise options.
CARBON FOOTPRINT
Our carbon footprint is independently calculated across Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions using recognised carbon accounting standards, including ISO 14064-1 and PAS 2060 principles. This provides a clear understanding of emissions generated across our operations, logistics activities and wider supply chain.
Where emissions can't yet be eliminated, we work with our partner Airfriendly to offset the remainder. Clients can offset the carbon footprint associated with delivering products to their customers, supporting projects that are independently verified and rated A+ by Sylvera.
ONGOING COMMITMENT
We continually look for ways to reduce our impact, support our clients' sustainability goals and make a positive contribution across our supply chain.
Partnering with Ignite means your fulfilment operations contribute to your own sustainability goals too.
Proudly certified as a carbon neutral business.
